I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, sanctioned by the State of Illinois to provide psychotherapy services to Individuals and couples. I have 22 years of Clinical and professional experience in working with hugely diverse populations.

My education and training was completed in the State of Michigan and I have been a Chicago resident since 1998. My education was largely in the Cognitive/Behavioral area. My training however, included several Psychoanalytic practicums with Dr. Joan Chodorkoff, and Clinical training at Lafayette Clinic (Wayne County, MI) with Dr. Gerald Rosenbaum and Dr. David Lachar. My work experience has included individual and group psychotherapy with adolescents and families, substance abuse counseling, psychotherapy with HIV/AIDS clients and work with the chronically mentally ill.

I have been a trainer with the American Psychological Associations HOPE (HIV Office for Psychology Education) Program since 1994. I provide seminars for clinicians, medical experts and the legal system on how to work effectively with individuals experiencing psychosocial problems related to HIV and AIDS. The seminars I offer include HIV 101, Ethical Dilemmas, and Treatment planning.

I am also a member of the American Counseling Association.
